*** CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSION ***

I am trying to organize a special session on:

"OBJECT-ORIENTED TOOLS AND ENVIRONMENTS FOR 
DISCRETE EVENT SIMULATION"

to be held at the 4th Workshop on Discrete Event Systems 
(WODES'98), Cagliari, Sardina, Italy, August 26 - 28, 1998.
The Workshop is jointly organized by IEE, AEI and our Department;
its Internet site with the complete call for papers can be found at: 
http://bode.diee.unica.it/~wodes98/wodes98.html. 

Both regular and short papers can be proposed for the session.
Regular papers will be allotted 6 proceedings pages and short 
papers 2 pages. Authors are invited to submit 4 COPIES of the complete 
manuscript for regular papers, and 4 COPIES of an extended summary 
for short papers.  The first page must contain the title of the
paper, author's name and affiliation, full address,
telephone, e-mail address, an abstract (less than 200 words)
and 5 KEYWORDS.
People interested to present a regular paper or a short 
paper to this session can contact me directly by e-mail. 
The deadline for the paper submission is 16 January 1998, so I should be
contacted at least a week before the deadline.
The other deadlines of the Workshop are:
Notification of full acceptance      15 April 1998
Deadline for camera-ready copy       15 June 1998
Deadline for early registration      15 June 1998
