A surprising number of software development efforts within the former Soviet Union are using object-oriented programming and object-oriented design to build production software systems. Major universities teach object oriented methods and there is some research in this area. Besides this there is much cooperation between Western and Russian companies and research institutes. It seems to be the right time for the first international conference in Russia about object oriented technology. This conference should: - help East and West to learn from one another - help to build new connections - provide the opportunity to present and to learn about o the actual state of research in OO technology o OO based developments o practical experiences with OO The conference will be held at the St. Petersburg electrotechnical university. Accommodations will be provided on-site. Additional accomodations will be available in St. Petersburg. Airport limousine service between St. Petersburg Airport and the conference site will be provided. The conference organizers will help you in gathering the necessary visas.
